A poetic portrait of one man's journey into the world music scene is revealed, when master musician and multi-instrumentalist, Ross Daly, takes us on a journey into his realm of musical enlightenment.

In today's world of computerized music, we witness individuals, such as Ross Daly and other collaborating master musicians, who are still creating music in the absence of machines. Our journey naturally begins and ends at the home of Ross Daly on the island of Crete, which will serve as the base for this documentary. Our travels take us to France and Turkey and back to Crete, while focusing on the music and the master musicians that create it.

Ross will serve as a conduit as we travel, meet and listen to the various master musicians. His insight and musical interpretation, as he narrates throughout the film, will allow the audience to understand what is being heard. His words will paint colorful pictures as he recollects his impressions of past visits to the various regions. The underlying theme throughout the film will be the intimacy of Ross Daly with the music, which is derived from the cultures, which are highlighted.

With the guidance of Ross Daly, we will witness an artist on artist discussion about   struggles, frustrations and refusal to compromise in today's music world.

The true essence of this film, however, is the discussion by an artist of how he overcame all political and religious obstacles to study and understand traditional world music, which spans over the last two thousand years. This is an introspective on the artist's own questions about music and how it is perceived by the masses and fellow master musicians.
